Experienced Pet Groomer (Minimum 2 Years Experience Required)

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pet Groomer to join our team for a W-2 position. We are a high volume salon looking for the ideal candidate that will have a LOVE for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional grooming services. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for the grooming and care of pets, ensuring they look their best while also prioritizing their comfort and well-being. This role requires strong animal handling skills and the ability to work effectively with both pets and coworkers.
Responsibilities
- Perform grooming services including thorough bathing, drying, de-matting, clipping, and styling for various breeds of dogs including fluffy haircuts.
- This position is primarily for experienced DOG groomers. While CAT grooming is not required, it is considered a valuable asset.
- Ensure the safety and comfort of all animals during grooming sessions.
- Maintain cleanliness of the grooming area and equipment to ensure a safe environment for pets.
- Handle animals with care, using proper restraint techniques when necessary.
- Monitor the health and behavior of pets during grooming sessions, reporting any concerns to the manager.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on professional pet grooming experience in a grooming salon, veterinary clinic, or pet grooming business.
- Ability to perform complete grooms independently, including bathing, drying, brushing, clipping, scissoring, de-shedding, nail trimming, and ear cleaning.
- Strong knowledge of breed-specific grooming styles and coat types.
- Excellent dog handling and safety skills.
- Ability to safely handle dogs of all sizes and lift larger dogs when necessary.
- Friendly, reliable, and professional with excellent customer service skills.
Please Note: This position is not suitable for groomer assistants, bathers, pet sitters, kennel attendants, veterinary assistants/technicians without professional grooming experience, or applicants from unrelated industries. Only candidates with professional pet grooming experience will be considered.
