Summary:
We are seeking an organized, independent Office Manager to oversee our daily administrative operations and financial record-keeping. In this role, you will split your time between standard office management, bookkeeping, human resources, and data entry. While an agricultural background is helpful, it is not required. We strongly prefer candidates who are computer efficient and have proven experience with bookkeeping, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Office software.
Responsibilities:
Manage Accounts: Handle all day-to-day accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).
Reconcile Accounts: Perform monthly bank account reconciliations.
Process Payroll: Manage employee onboarding documentation and run bi-monthly payroll and payroll taxes.
Track Expenses: Categorize daily transactions and monitor business expense reports.
Support Reporting: Prepare monthly financial statements, including Balance Sheets and P&L reports.
Assist with Taxes: Gather necessary documentation for CPA at tax time and year-end close.
Herd Data Entry: Maintain accurate herd management data by entering calvings, moves, culls, and treatment records into herd facility software.
Inventory Management: Manage, order, and maintain livestock supplies, vaccines, breeding supplies, feed commodities.
Facility Management: Act as the primary point of contact for office building management, vendors, and maintenance services.
Human Resources & Onboarding: Assist with administrative HR tasks, including new hire onboarding and maintaining employee records.
Qualifications and Skills:
Experience: Preferred 2+ years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience.
Software: Proficiency with QuickBooks, Microsoft word, and Microsoft Excel.
Skills:
Deep understanding of basic accounting principles and strong data entry accuracy.
Exceptional time-management and multitasking capabilities with a keen attention to detail.
Strong problem-solving abilities and effective verbal and written communication skills for solving and resolving conflicts.
