Duties
- Safely load and unload shipments using forklifts, pallet jacks, clamp trucks, and other material handling equipment
- Perform manual handling tasks such as lifting, carrying, and stacking heavy items with proper technique to prevent injury
- Operate warehouse equipment including cranes, order pickers, RF scanners, and heavy machinery following safety protocols
- Assist in inventory management by accurately picking orders, updating stock levels, and maintaining organized storage areas
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and safety procedures during all warehouse activities
- Prepare shipments for shipping & receiving by securing loads on pallets and verifying order accuracy
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse to promote safety and efficiency
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or related logistics roles
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations including order picking, load & unload processes, and inventory management
- Skilled in operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, crane systems, pallet jacks, and material handling equipment
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting safely and effectively
- Familiarity with RF scanners for inventory tracking and basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Understanding of safety protocols including OSHA regulations to ensure a secure working environment
- Previous experience supervising warehouse activities or managing warehouse teams is a plus
