Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and welcoming Breakfast Host to create a vibrant and memorable morning experience for our guests. As the first point of contact during breakfast hours, you will ensure a warm, friendly atmosphere while maintaining high standards of food quality, cleanliness, and service. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing attentive and friendly in-person customer service throughout their breakfast experience
- Prepare and serve a variety of breakfast items, ensuring food presentation meets quality standards and safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all food preparation areas, dining spaces, and kitchen equipment in accordance with food safety sanitizing procedures
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including coffee machines, toasters, ovens, and other small appliances
- Process cash transactions accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems, handling weight handling in the workplace responsibly
- Restock buffet stations or serving areas as needed, ensuring a well-organized and appealing presentation at all times
- Follow food safety management protocols diligently to uphold hygiene standards and prevent contamination or foodborne illnesses
- Assist with food handling tasks such as portioning, plating, or garnishing to enhance guest satisfaction
- Support catering or banquet setups when required, contributing to special events or group functions within the restaurant or hospitality setting
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service flow during busy breakfast hours while maintaining a positive attitude
Skills
- Proven experience in food service, restaurant operations, or hospitality environments with a focus on breakfast or buffet service
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety sanitizing procedures
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to health standards
- Excellent customer service skills with an emphasis on in-person interactions and creating welcoming atmospheres
- Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing inventory levels
- Familiarity with POS systems for order processing and cash handling
- Experience with wine knowledge or beverage service is a plus but not required
- Ability to handle manual tasks such as weight handling in the workplace comfortably and safely
- Previous banquet or catering experience is advantageous for supporting special events or large groups
- Knowledge of dietary accommodations and food industry best practices enhances guest satisfaction
