Position Summary
Countdown City Installs LLC is seeking an experienced, dependable, and motivated Installation Crew Leader to join our growing team.
This position is responsible for leading installation crews on projects throughout Florida and across the United States while ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience in rigging, industrial construction, equipment installation, welding OR electrical controls, along with proven experience leading installation crews from project start to completion.
This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for the installation, service, repair, inspection, and preventative maintenance of:
- Vertical Reciprocating Conveyors (VRCs/Material Lifts)
- Pallet Racking Systems
- Mezzanines
- Commercial Shelving
- Other Warehouse Storage Solutions
Candidates should have experience operating telehandlers, forklifts, scissor lifts, and other material-handling or construction equipment while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, customer service, and quality workmanship.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise installation crews on customer job sites.
- Manage projects from mobilization through final completion.
- Install VRCs (material lifts), pallet racking, mezzanines, safety gates, commercial shelving, and related warehouse equipment.
- Perform service calls, inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance.
- Plan and execute rigging operations for the safe movement and placement of equipment.
- Operate telehandlers, forklifts, scissor lifts, and other construction equipment.
- Read and interpret installation drawings, blueprints OR schematics, and specifications.
- Coordinate daily activities with customers, project managers, and crew members.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within company quality standards.
- Identify and resolve installation or service issues in the field.
- Complete service reports and project documentation accurately.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites.
- Train and mentor installation team members.
- Travel throughout the United States and within Florida as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial installation, construction, or material handling equipment.
- Demonstrated experience leading installation crews.
- Rigging experience required.
- Welding Candidates: MIG and must read prints
- Electrical Controls Candidates: Must be able to read and troubleshoot electrical schematics.
- Experience operating forklifts, telehandlers, and scissor lifts required.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
- MIG and/or Stick welding experience preferred.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints, installation drawings, and technical documentation.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
- Comfortable with frequent overnight travel.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
