Our Greenwood, IN facility is seeking a CNC Mill Operator to work during our 2nd shift. In this role, you will utilize 3-axis or 4-axis Haas Mills to execute various machining tasks, including boring, broaching, reaming, milling, drilling, and cutting on both metallic and nonmetallic materials.
Core Responsibilities

Analyze technical documentation, including blueprints and planning sheets, to establish machining sequences and tooling requirements.

Prepare necessary tooling and verify that fixture setups align with quality standards for dimensions and angles to ensure high-quality production.

Secure and align workpieces and attachments while assembling cutting tools into machine magazines.

Input preprogrammed instructions or load control media into the machine controller to initiate operations.

Adjust machine settings to control coolant flow, feed, speed, and cutting depth for optimal performance.

Perform manual programming and prove-outs during setup phases, subject to supervisory approval.

Oversee machine operation and monitor displays to identify potential malfunctions.

Interrupt machine cycles to perform tool changes or verify part dimensions against blueprint requirements.

Adjust machine controls or input commands to rectify out-of-tolerance issues or operational errors.

Manage manual machine operation when automated systems fail or non-automated functions are required.

Collaborate with programming staff or supervisors to address and resolve control media errors.

Maintain equipment cleanliness and perform necessary machine upkeep to ensure operational efficiency.

Foster a safe working environment by strictly following company safety protocols and utilizing required personal protective equipment.

Support the team by assisting in the training of new staff members.
Required Qualifications

Completion of High School or equivalent education.

Minimum of one year of relevant manufacturing experience or technical training.

Capability to execute tasks based on oral, written, or diagrammatic instructions.

Mathematical proficiency for handling decimals, fractions, whole numbers, and units of measure.

Competence in interpreting operations sheets and blueprints to define setup procedures.

Skill in operating and setting up CNC equipment, including data management within the Traverse Manufacturing System.
