Position Summary:
The assistant Mail Coordinator at Wingate University would support the Mail Coordinator and the daily operations of Wingate University's campus mailroom, ensuring timely and accurate handling of mail and packages for students, faculty, and staff.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and packages; assign to lockers or to the shelves in the PawPost
Maintain organized work areas and assist with ordering or replenishing mail room supplies as directed
Prepare and process outgoing mail and shipments, following guidelines from the carriers
Deliver exceptional customer service to the students, staff, and faculty
Pass Mail truck driving requirements and must have a valid driver's license
Operate all mailroom equipment and call Pitney Bowes for any maintenance needs
During peak times on campus, may have to work over regular work hours, and during the Christmas holiday will have to work half a day after Christmas to pick up mail and sort and deliver to the Cashiers and Advancement offices
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling mail and package information
Great communication skills and customer service skills in a campus environment
Ability to lift and move packages (up to approximately 40 lbs) and stand or walk for portions of the workday
Proficient with office computer technology and learn the Pitney Bowes platform and basic Excel software
