Job Summary:
The Assistant General Manager (AGM) at Safari Fun Park will support the overall management of the center’s daily operations, ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction, efficient service, and smooth operation across all departments. The AGM will play a key role in overseeing staff, managing financial performance, handling guest concerns, and assisting with strategic planning and goal setting. This position requires strong leadership, problem-solving abilities, and a passion for creating memorable experiences for guests and employees alike.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Support & Management:
- Assist the General Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations of the FEC, ensuring that all areas (attractions, food and beverage, guest services, and entertainment) are running smoothly and efficiently.
- Supervise and coordinate staff across departments, ensuring all employees are properly trained and following standard operating procedures.
- Ensure guest satisfaction by monitoring guest experiences, addressing complaints, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Step in as the acting General Manager in the absence of the GM, maintaining continuity of operations.
- Staff Leadership & Development:
- Support the recruitment, onboarding, and training of staff to ensure a high level of performance and guest service.
- Provide coaching, guidance, and performance feedback to staff members, helping to develop their skills and ensure they meet company expectations.
- Monitor employee performance and assist in scheduling and ensuring appropriate staffing levels for peak times and special events.
- Foster a positive and energetic workplace culture that emphasizes teamwork, accountability, and excellence in service.
- Guest Experience & Customer Service:
- Ensure that all guest-facing areas provide a positive, fun, and memorable experience for visitors of all ages.
- Handle guest concerns, complaints, and feedback in a professional and timely manner, ensuring a resolution that meets or exceeds expectations.
- Collaborate with department heads to develop and implement strategies to enhance guest satisfaction, loyalty programs, and promotions.
- Financial & Budget Management:
- Assist the General Manager in managing the FEC’s budget, including monitoring revenue streams, controlling costs, and ensuring that financial targets are met.
- Analyze sales data, staffing schedules, and operational efficiency to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
- Support inventory management and ordering processes, ensuring adequate supplies while controlling waste and excess.
- Marketing, Promotions, & Events:
- Collaborate with the marketing team to support and execute promotional campaigns, seasonal events, and local community outreach programs.
- Ensure effective communication of promotions to the team to ensure they are properly implemented and marketed to guests.
- Assist in planning and coordinating events, birthday parties, corporate functions, and group bookings to maximize revenue and guest satisfaction.
- Safety, Compliance & Maintenance:
- Assist in ensuring the safety and cleanliness of the FEC by conducting regular inspections of facilities, equipment, and staff practices.
- Support compliance with health and safety regulations, including food handling, sanitation, and operational safety standards.
- Work with the maintenance team to ensure that all attractions, rides, and facilities are properly maintained, clean, and safe for guests.
- Reports & Administration:
- Maintain accurate records of daily operations, guest feedback, employee performance, and financial performance.
- Assist in preparing weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for senior management, including updates on operations, guest satisfaction, staffing, and revenue.
- Perform administrative duties as needed, such as scheduling, payroll, and employee performance evaluations.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role, ideally in the entertainment, hospitality, or leisure industries.
- Proven track record of successfully managing teams, operations, and customer service in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Experience in a Family Entertainment Center, theme park, or similar venue is a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate, inspire, and guide a diverse team.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to think on your feet and make quick, effective decisions.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines.
- Knowledge of financial management, budgeting, and cost control, including the ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
- Proficiency with computer software such as Microsoft Office, POS systems, scheduling software, and basic business analytics tools.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and move quickly around the facility during peak times.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and assist with heavy lifting or moving items when necessary.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
