Overview:
We are looking for a responsible and caring individual. As a Caregiver, you will provide essential assistance to individuals in need of support with daily activities and personal care. MUST have reliable transportation. Being on time is a must!!
We are in need of someone to care for a male client that lives alone. Client is legally blind.
Schedule:
-Looking for someone who can work 8am-8pm on two to three days of the week (between Sun-Thursday)
Responsibilities may include but not limited to:
-Engage is conversation with client
-Encourages walks out in the community (weather permitting)
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Provide medication reminders if needed
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Help clients with mobility issues and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Implement care plans tailored to individual needs
- Support individuals with dementia care or other illnesses
-Meal Prep
- Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
Requirements:
- Prior experience in caregiving or related fields preferred
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and demonstrate empathy
- Proficiency in assisting with ADLs
- Capability to handle physical demands including heavy lifting and assisting with mobility
- Familiarity with social work systems and protocols for providing quality care
