Sheridan Medical Lodge is seeking a Part-Time Speech-Language Pathologist to direct post-hospital rehabilitation protocols for our 130-bed facility. This clinical position focuses on patient recovery, tracking treatment metrics, and establishing evidence-based speech and swallowing therapies.
Our therapy department manages clinical profiles following hospital discharge. You will oversee personal casework and coordinate with our interdisciplinary medical team to ensure measurable recovery outcomes.
Compensation, Schedule & Benefits
- Pay Rate: $50-55/hour
- Schedule: Part-Time, M-F

Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations for swallowing, cognitive-communication, and speech disorders following hospital discharge.
- Design individualized treatment plans tailored to short-term rehabilitation goals.
- Maintain clinical documentation and monitor patient progress metrics.
- Collaborate with physical therapy, occupational therapy, and nursing staff regarding patient care plans.
- Facilitate safe discharge planning and establish home programs for transitioning patients.

Professional Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist license issued by the State of Texas.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
- Experience in post-hospital rehabilitation or a skilled nursing environment preferred.
- Must pass a criminal background check.
- Must be able to pass a drug screening.
- Must have reliable transportation for dependable attendance.
