Vacation Rental Property Inspector / Quality Control – North and West Lake Tahoe
Tahoe NORTH Rentals is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Vacation Rental Property Inspector to join our team. This is a hands-on position for someone who takes pride in making sure vacation homes are clean, guest-ready, well-maintained, and up to our company standards.
Responsibilities include:
- Performing detailed, “white glove” inspections of vacation rental homes after housekeeping has completed service
- Overseeing housekeeping quality and identifying items that need additional attention
- Performing light cleaning and touch-ups when needed, such as wiping counters, removing fingerprints, vacuuming a small area, making minor bed or linen adjustments, or handling other last-minute details
- Checking that homes are properly stocked, staged, and ready for arriving guests
- Documenting and reporting damages, maintenance concerns, missing items, and housekeeping issues
- Taking photos and completing inspection reports
- Traveling from property to property throughout the North Lake Tahoe area
- Overseeing vendors who are scheduled to perform repairs or maintenance
- Confirming that vendor work has been completed and reporting the results back to the office
- Helping troubleshoot minor property issues when possible
- Communicating closely with our office, housekeeping teams, and vendors throughout the day
What we're looking for:
- Extremely detail-oriented and observant
- Reliable, organized, and able to work independently
- Comfortable holding homes and housekeeping work to a high standard
- Able to communicate professionally with housekeepers, vendors, guests, and office staff
- Willing to perform light cleaning when something needs to be corrected before a guest arrives
- Comfortable using a smartphone for photos, messages, inspection reports, and scheduling
- Able to manage changing priorities during busy turnover days
- Must have a reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and be comfortable driving between properties
- Familiarity with North Lake Tahoe is a plus
- Vacation rental, housekeeping, property management, hotel, maintenance, or inspection experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right person
This is not a desk job. You will spend much of your day driving between vacation homes, inspecting properties, coordinating with our office, and making sure each home is ready for its next guest.
We're looking for someone who notices the little things—a hair in a bathtub, fingerprints on a refrigerator, a crooked bedspread, a missing remote, a burned-out lightbulb, or a repair that wasn't completed correctly—and takes the initiative to get it handled.
