What You'll Do
As a Pharmacy Technician, you'll play a vital role in delivering safe, accurate, and efficient pharmacy services by:
- Assisting pharmacists with medication preparation and dispensing across hospital and pharmacy settings
- Supporting sterile compounding, IV admixture, and infusion preparation using aseptic techniques
- Performing pharmaceutical calculations to ensure medication accuracy and patient safety
- Managing medication inventory, stock replenishment, and expiration monitoring
- Utilizing pharmacy software systems for medication tracking, documentation, and inventory management
- Delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining patient confidentiality
- Ensuring compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations
- Collaborating with healthcare teams to support quality patient care
- Participating in ongoing professional development and training opportunities
What We're Looking For
- Must be a Certified Pharmacy Technician through either PTCB or NHA in order to be considered.
- A TN Pharmacy Technician license must be obtained within 90 days of hire if you do not already have one
- Prior experience as a pharmacy technician with proficiency in pharmacy software systems and data entry tasks.
- Demonstrated knowledge of pharmaceutical calculations, compounding medications, and sterile IV admixture procedures.
- Experience working within hospital or LTC pharmacy environments is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, drug regulation policies, and state healthcare regulations is essential.
