Job Summary:
Ekim Builders, Inc. is a San Diego-based construction and property management company that develops and operates residential apartment communities. We are seeking an experienced AP/Payroll/HR Specialist to manage accounts payable, process payroll, and support human resources functions across our portfolio.
This is a hands-on, multi-functional role requiring strong attention to detail, proficiency in AppFolio and Workforce, and a working knowledge of construction accounting. The ideal candidate brings at least five years of combined AP, payroll, and HR experience and thrives in a fast-paced, operationally driven environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Must have five years’ experience of Accounts Payable/Payroll/Human Resource to be considered.
2. Knowledge of Workforce and AppFolio a must.
3. Must be detailed oriented and able to solve complex situations.
4. Construction accounting background a plus.
5. Must have a general understanding of accounting principles.
6. Ability to lead staff within all regulatory requirements.
7. Must be willing and able to work within a team environment in a leadership role.
8. Maintain good relations with other departments and Managers.
9. Proficient computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, and able to navigate internet.
10. Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills a must.

ACCOUNTS PAYABLE
1. Accounts payable calls for Ekim Builders, Inc.
2. Credit Applications for customers and vendor Ekim Builders, Inc.
3. Process credit card payments, Post ACH payments to vendors
4. File prelims for Ekim Builders, Inc.
5. Lien Releases for Ekim Builders, Inc.
6. Select and print account payable checks
7. Notarization as needed
8. Supervise the input and handling of financial data and reports for the company's automated financial systems.
9. Interact with internal and external auditors in completing audits.
PAYROLL/HR
1. Prepare, process and distribute payroll.
2. Design and conduct new employee orientations.
3. Administer and explain benefits to employees, serve as liaison between employees and
insurance carriers.

5. Responsible for all human resource activities to include employment, compensation, labor relations, benefits, and training and development.
6. Review application/resume; evaluate applicant skills and make recommendations regarding applicant's qualifications.
7. Coordinate the resolution of specific policy-related and procedural problems and inquiries.
8. Recommend, develop and maintain human resource databases, computer software systems, and manual filing systems.
9. Set up drug tests when needed bases, computer software systems and manual filing systems.

Pay: $31.12 - $37.48 per hour
