We're entering a major growth phase and are looking for someone who thrives on building relationships and generating new business.
This is not a desk job. We're looking for someone who enjoys meeting people, networking, and creating opportunities that directly increase revenue.
Position Summary
The Business Development & Marketing Manager is responsible for growing Gail's Party Décor through strategic outreach, marketing initiatives, community partnerships, and commercial sales.
Your primary responsibility is bringing in new business while strengthening relationships with existing clients. Success in this role will be measured by the revenue and long-term partnerships you create.
ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development
- Prospect and secure new commercial clients
- Build relationships with hotels, resorts, casinos, schools, cities, venues, wedding planners, nonprofits, event coordinators, real estate companies, restaurants, and local businesses
- Conduct in-person sales visits throughout the Coachella Valley
- Attend networking events and chamber functions
- Develop recurring corporate accounts
- Follow up with leads until contracts are secured
- Maintain CRM and sales pipeline
Marketing
- Plan and execute marketing campaigns
- Manage social media strategy
- Coordinate email marketing campaigns
- Create promotional offers and seasonal campaigns
- Work alongside designers to create brochures, flyers, advertisements, and promotional materials
- Coordinate photography and video content from events
- Monitor campaign performance and recommend improvements
Customer Relations
- Respond to quote requests
- Prepare proposals and estimates
- Maintain communication throughout the booking process
- Ensure excellent customer experience from inquiry to event completion
- Request reviews and referrals after completed events
Community Outreach
- Build partnerships with local organizations
- Identify sponsorship opportunities
- Create referral relationships with venues and vendors
- Represent Gail's Party Décor within the community
Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience in business development, sales, marketing, or account management
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong organization and follow-up abilities
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Comfortable networking and meeting new clients
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Familiarity with CRM software is a plus
- Graphic design or social media experience is a plus
What Success Looks Like
Within your first 90 days, you should:
- Establish relationships with key venues and vendors
- Build an active pipeline of commercial accounts
- Increase qualified leads
- Launch marketing campaigns that generate measurable inquiries
- Contribute directly to increased monthly bookings
Compensation
Base Salary: Competitive (depending on experience)
