Job Title: Forklift Technician

Salary: $34 - $40 per hour (Based on Experience)
Schedule: Monday - Friday

Position Overview: As a Forklift Technician, you will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical, electrical, and other issues on forklift equipment. For candidates with less than 3 years of experience, we offer an apprenticeship program where you'll receive hands-on training in our shop before working on customer sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Travel to customer locations in a company-provided service vehicle to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair forklift equipment.
- Diagnose forklift equipment problems and breakdowns and recommend the correct service and repair actions.
- Perform scheduled maintenance and repairs as required by customer contracts and equipment manufacturers.
- Ensure all maintenance procedures and policies are followed according to company and manufacturer guidelines.
- Document all service jobs accurately and neatly, ensuring the necessary paperwork is completed.
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by responding to service calls promptly, professionally, and politely.
- Promote goodwill and accountability between the company and customers, acting in a professional manner at all times.
- Follow all safety procedures and standards while on the job.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by service management.
Qualifications:
- Forklift mechanic experience is preferred, but we will also consider candidates with automotive or other mechanical experience.
- Technicians with less than 3 years of experience will be considered for an apprenticeship role.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in the field, with excellent time management skills.
- Strong commitment to providing superior customer service.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
