Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide exceptional support to individuals in need of assistance with daily activities and personal care. Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support
- Monitor patients’ health by taking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature; report any concerns promptly
- Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and safety
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with feeding as necessary
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning, laundry, and sanitation tasks
- Observe and document patients’ conditions, behaviors, and progress to inform care plans and communicate with healthcare teams
- Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident’s <PERSON> to safely transfer individuals with mobility challenges
- Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness or anxiety
Skills
- Proven experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care environments
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques, dementia/dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, autism support, and hospice care principles
- Certifications or training in First Aid, CPR, HIPAA compliance, and medication administration are highly desirable
- Ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities requiring specialized support
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with clients’ families and healthcare providers
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting and assisting with mobility; comfort using assistive devices like Hoyer lifts
- Attention to detail in monitoring vital signs, updating care plans, and ensuring safety standards are met

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
