Manages supplier quality performance independently. Leads problem-solving efforts, conducts audits, and drives continuous improvement with suppliers.

Ensure suppliers perform thorough root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions.

Participate in Root Cause Corrective Action processes on high impact product quality issue and warranty concerns.

Ensure suppliers complete PPAP and APQP documentation accurately for new product development and design/process changes.

Conduct supplier audits and process reviews.
-
Work closely with suppliers to drive robust improvement initiatives.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams on new product launches & VAVE projects..

Travel to supplier/customer sites for development and issue resolution.

Support plant quality teams during product launches and issue resolution

Education:
-
Bachelor’s degree in technical engineering or equivalent.

ASQ Certified Quality Engineer Preferred

Six Sigma certification (Any Level) Preferred
Experience:
-
3+ years of Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.

Project Management experience

Knowledge and experience in problem-solving tools (8D, A3, 5 Why, Fishbone), acting as a leader and as a team member

Knowledge and experience with AIAG APQP Process and AIAG Core Tools.

Knowledge and experience with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 Quality Management Systems.

Knowledge and experience with internal QMS auditing.

Strong knowledge in any of the following areas: Metal-Mechanical, Plastic, Electrical-Software.
