The Medical Billing Assistant is responsible for patient billing, insurance review, and payment refunds and processing for Central Care, PA. This position ensures services are billed correctly, correcting any billing errors and fulfilling compliance requirements.

Prepare daily reports and share to necessary internal/external partners.

Prepare patient charts if needed to send to collections agency.

Process patient refunds.

Communicate with insurance companies to resolve a wide variety of payment, non-payment, and coverage issues.

High school diploma or equivalent experience required; completion of a medical assistant training program or certification preferred.

Previous experience working in a healthcare billing department, preferred.
