Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Licensed Medical Technologist join our dynamic healthcare team. This vital role involves performing comprehensive clinical laboratory procedures, managing laboratory operations, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and accuracy in diagnostic testing. As a Technologist , you will play a key role in supporting clinical trials, research initiatives, and routine laboratory work, contributing to advancements in medical diagnostics and patient care. Duties
- Conduct laboratory tests including ELISA, PCR, flow cytometry, immunoassays, and clinical chemistry testing to support diagnostic and research objectives
- Manage data entry, data management systems, and laboratory information management systems (LIS) to ensure accurate record-keeping and traceability of samples and results
- Operate and maintain medical laboratory equipment such as centrifuges, microscopes, analyzers, and other diagnostic instruments in accordance with manufacturer guidelines
- Implement laboratory quality control protocols to ensure compliance with CLIA regulations and CDT standards; troubleshoot issues proactively
- Interpret diagnostic test results including hematology, microbiology testing, clinical chemistry data, and cytotechnology findings for clinical decision-making
- Support clinical trials by adhering to protocols for specimen collection/processing and maintaining detailed documentation of procedures performed
- Maintain a thorough understanding of medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, physiology concepts, and laboratory procedures to ensure accurate testing processes
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide timely insights into test results while adhering to hospital safety standards
Skills
- Extensive experience in medical laboratory work including RNA extraction, DNA isolation, blood banking, and microbiology testing
- Proficiency in laboratory techniques such as ELISA assays, PCR amplification, flow cytometry analysis, hematology tests, and immunoassays
- Strong data analysis skills for interpreting complex diagnostic information accurately
- Knowledge of CLIA regulations and experience implementing laboratory quality control protocols
- Familiarity with laboratory management systems (LIS), Laboratory information management systems (LIMS), and specimen tracking software
- Hands-on experience with medical equipment operation including centrifuges, analyzers, microscopes, and blood sampling devices
- Understanding of hospital-based laboratory workflows including blood banking procedures and clinical chemistry testing
- Excellent knowledge of medical terminology related to anatomy, physiology, hematology, microbiology, and clinical chemistry
- Experience working within research laboratories or clinical trial environments is highly desirable
- Strong organizational skills for managing multiple tests simultaneously while maintaining accuracy under pressure
