Job Summary
As a CDL‑A Driver, you’ll be driving local rates while occasionally being over the road 1 to 2 nights per week. You will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of petroleum and/or DEF products to customers. This includes both bulk and packaged goods. You’ll operate modern, well-maintained company vehicles and serve as the face of our company with every customer interaction.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate company bulk tankers or package trailers
- Deliver or pick up products to/from customer sites
- Load and unload products using proper equipment
- Verify orders, quantities, and delivery instructions
- Complete delivery documentation and collect payment when required
- Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections
- Communicate clearly with dispatch regarding delays or issues
- Follow all DOT, OSHA, and hazardous materials handling regulations
- Maintain a clean, organized vehicle and professional appearance
Qualifications and Requirements
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A with necessary endorsements for hazmat operation.
- Must be able to pass a DOT physical and drug screening.
- Proven experience in CDL driving.
- Ability and willingness to be over-the-road travel one to two nights per week.
- Proficiency in operating manual transmission trucks.
- Ability to load & unload product safely.
- Knowledge of route driving best practices and safety procedures
- Strong commitment to safety standards and regulatory compliance
Physical Requirements
- Physical ability to climb in and out of vehicles or trailers.
- Frequent bending/stooping
- Lift/Move up to 75lbs
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather.
- Must be able to wear assigned PPE
