Purpose
The GM is tasked with providing strong leadership for the company by working with the COO, and other members of the leadership/executive team, to establish short and long-term goals, plans and strategies. He/she will oversee and be responsible/accountable for all aspects of production (cultivation, processing, inventory management, and distribution) for the Deland, FL campus. He/she will cooperate with other members of the leadership team (national cultivation team, national extraction team, marketing, finance, retail, and HR) to execute the Florida market business plan. The GM, as all members of the leadership team, are expected to be a positive example for all TRP personnel. The GM is responsible for fostering a culture of excellence, positivity, teamwork, and accountability at the Deland, FL campus.
Location
The GM will be based at the Deland, FL campus, other than occasional travel required for corporate planning and other tasks. The position will be based onsite at the production campus to oversee the operations of all production activities for the state of FL. The GM will need to be based within commuting distance of the facility or be willing to relocate.
Core Responsibilities
The primary responsibility will be managing all production operations and staff at the Deland, FL campus. Ensuring the cultivation and processing operations meet the production, quality, and cost goals. Duties for the GM will include allocating budget resources, formulating policies, coordinating business operations, supporting sales and marketing, monitoring and motivating staff, managing operational costs, ensuring good customer service, improving administration processes, engaging with vendors, hiring and training employees, identifying business opportunities, and monitoring financial activities.
? Primarily responsible for the production performance of the business, and shall prioritize meeting production, quality, and financial goals
? Coordination with company sales and marketing initiatives
? Coordination with all departments, including human resources and accounting
? Develop and implement policies for all production related functions of the company, including, but not limited to:
? Cultivation, harvest, curing, trimming, packaging
? Extraction, processing, manufacturing, packaging
? Inventory, storage, distribution, delivery
? Security, compliance, quality, safety
? Quality control, and quality assurance
? Ensure proper maintenance of all state and local compliance items including seed to sale product/inventory tracking and state and local license codes and renewals.
? Oversee the planning and performance of our offsite extraction biomass cultivation facility
? Experience with the FL OMMU is a bonus
? Regulatory interfacing, responding to government (local and state) requests, and required reporting
? Facility development, expansion, improvements, maintenance, and cleaning
? The GM must have an entrepreneurial mindset and adapt quickly to changes in the marketplace
? Manage, train, coach, oversee the performance of all staff onsite, anticipated to be 75-100 team members
? Promote a positive company culture that focuses on continuous improvement, and supports employee development
? And other duties assigned by the COO
Required Reports and Documents
? Participate in annual/quarterly planning to support the leadership team. Provide a draft annual budget (for area of responsibility) to the COO, for review and approval.

? Provide a quarterly production plan to the COO, for review and approval. The COO must receive the Quarterly plan at least 7 days before the start of the quarter
? Provide a quarterly budget to the COO, for review and approval
? Provide a Monthly Update Report to the COO by the 15th of the following month. The report should include the previous months detailed financial statements, upcoming monthly production projections, and any other items critical to the business
? Develop and maintain a data tracking scorecard(s) for each production activity
Qualifications:
Required:
? Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Manufacturing, experience can be substituted
? A minimum of 3 years cannabis industry experience
? Knowledge of multi-tiered companies, quality assurance protocols, and team management
? Experience and demonstrated successful leadership of departmental accountability, facility and personnel maintenance, and administrative coordination
? Prior leadership role in multi-product line cannabis production facilities
? Direct management experience of at least 25 team members
Additional Employment Requirements:
- Must be able to obtain a state license to work for a Florida MMTC license, as approved by the OMMU
- Be a minimum of twenty-one (21) years old
- Can legally work in the United States
Employee Handbook notwithstanding, the GM may be subject to any moral character requirements, legal requirements, and approval, as specified by the company and that are in accordance with the Florida OMMU programs.

? Strategic Thinking: Comprehensively understanding cannabis product profiles and effects utilized in conjunction with supply stock logistics, advertising campaigns, current industry trends, and forecasted marketplace demand
? Business Acumen: Grasping the basic dependencies and bottleneck circumstances of supply chain management, realistic vs. unrealistic expectations, basic financial concepts and pricing structures, as well as overall organizational operation
? Communication Proficiency: Demonstrating leadership qualities and practices with dealing with employees, sales team members, customers, vendors, and regulatory agencies
? Personal Effectiveness/Credibility: Results driven in all aspects of the company’s mission to include beneficial decision-making, participating in ongoing professional development, and maintaining active professional licenses
? GMP or cGMP experience preferred
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
This is a high-stress position based on full operational responsibility for the company’s cannabis production operations, in Florida. The GM handles detailed, complex concepts and problems, balances multiple tasks simultaneously, and makes rapid decisions regarding crop products and horticultural issues. The GM will plan and implement actions designed to improve the company’s strategic and operational capacities and will be responsible for establishing strong relationships with industry vendors, staff, customers, and government regulators.
The GM is responsible for developing smooth, constructive, and beneficial relationships with executive colleagues, outside agencies. The GM will be responsible for the creation of strategic plans and the meeting of strict operations deadlines and will maintain a flexible work schedule to meet the demands of executive management. The company acknowledges that hours may be long and irregular for the GM and requires this position to continually convey a professional and positive image and attitude regarding the company and the cannabis sector. Additionally, the GM will demonstrate a commitment to continued professional growth and development both in and out of the cannabis industry.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. This position regularly requires long hours and frequent weekend work.
Travel:
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be required.
