The Department of Urology at the New York City Health + Hospitals/Queens & Elmhurst in affiliation with the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, is seeking a Urologist on a full-time basis. We are seeking an energetic, highly motivated, and talented candidate to join our Queens and Elmhurst teams by working at both facilities. Responsibilities will include direct patient care, the teaching and supervision of Mount Sinai Urology residents and students in an academic community hospital setting. We are most in need of a candidate with a subspecialty in urologic oncology and robot surgery expertise. Additional experience in reconstruction, lithiasis and female/pelvic medicine would be valuable.
New York City Health + Hospitals/Queens + Elmhurst are acute care facilities and part of the largest municipal healthcare system in the country. They are modern medical centers with Centers of Excellence in Women’s Health, Cancer Care, Diabetes Care, and Behavioral Health, and serves the most culturally diverse population in the world with a wide spectrum of medical conditions. State-of-the-art facilities include a DaVinci Xi surgical robot, multiple PAs/NPs and urology residents at each site, an NCI-designated Cancer Center, and a Level 1 Trauma Center.
Successful candidates must be board certified/eligible by the American Board of Urology and licensed in the State of New York. Faculty appointment to the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai will be commensurate with years of experience and accomplishment. Compensation is competitive and proportionate with qualifications and excellent fringe benefits. Scheduling is flexible and call responsibilities will be no more than 1 night in 4 and are also flexible. Call responsibilities can be clustered.
