Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Electronics & Mechanical Assembly Technician to build, test, and troubleshoot high-precision analytical systems. This role requires strong hands-on experience with both electronic assemblies and mechanical integration in a production or engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble complex electronic and mechanical components, subassemblies, and full systems
- Interpret and work from schematics, wiring diagrams, CAD drawings, and SOPs
- Perform wiring, soldering (through-hole and SMT), and cable fabrication
- Integrate fluidic, pneumatic, and motion control components where applicable
- Conduct functional testing, calibration, and troubleshooting of assemblies
- Identify and resolve assembly issues; provide feedback for design and process improvements
- Maintain documentation, build records, and quality control standards
- Support prototype builds and transition to production
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or technical certification in electronics, mechatronics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on assembly experience in electronics, instrumentation, or precision equipment
- Strong skills in soldering, wiring, and use of test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Experience with fluidics, pumps, valves, or analytical instrumentation is a plus
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with ICP, ICP-MS, or other analytical systems
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing or GMP/ISO environments
- Basic computer skills for documentation and data entry
