Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Construction Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be an essential part of building and renovating structures, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to high standards. Your hands-on skills and knowledge of construction processes will contribute directly to the successful execution of diverse projects, from residential renovations to commercial developments. Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and setup of construction sites, including unloading materials and organizing tools
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely to perform tasks such as cutting, drilling, and assembling structural components
- Support concrete work by mixing, pouring, finishing, and applying concrete forms and rebar installation according to blueprints and specifications
- Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate execution of work
- Construct formwork for concrete pouring, including framing and supporting structures as per design requirements
- Perform heavy lifting and material handling to move supplies around the site efficiently
- Follow all safety protocols related to construction workplace safety regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Qualifications
- Proven experience working on construction projects with a solid understanding of construction site operations
- Knowledge of mechanical systems relevant to construction tasks
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings accurately
- Familiarity with concrete mixing, pouring, finishing, cutting, and pumping techniques
- Experience with rebar installation, formwork construction, plastering, caulking, stucco application, and heavy lifting
- Skilled in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Understanding of construction estimating processes is a plus but not required
- Strong commitment to adhering to construction safety regulations and safety protocol adherence
- Valid experience in carpentry or renovation work is highly desirable
