Position Summary
The Human Resources Assistant plays a key role in supporting the daily operations of the Human Resources department. This position is responsible for recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new employees while providing administrative and operational support to the HR Manager. Essential Responsibilities
- Screen applications and resumes to identify qualified candidates.
- Schedule, coordinate, and conduct interviews with applicants.
- Communicate with candidates throughout the hiring process.
- Complete reference checks and assist with employment verification.
- Prepare and extend job offers to selected candidates.
- Coordinate and facilitate new hire onboarding, orientation, and required paperwork.
- Ensure all pre-employment documents and compliance requirements are completed accurately and on time.
- Maintain accurate employee records and personnel files.
- Assist with employee onboarding, training coordination, and new hire follow-up.
- Respond to employee questions regarding HR policies and procedures.
- Support employee engagement and retention initiatives.
- Assist with scheduling, staffing, and recruitment events as needed.
- Help maintain compliance with federal, state, and company employment regulations.
- Assist the HR Director with audits, reports, projects, and other administrative tasks.
- Perform additional HR duties and special projects as assigned by the HR Director.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in Human Resources, recruiting, staffing, or administrative support preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable learning HR software systems.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $40,000.00 per year
