Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly, take their orders accurately, and process transactions efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Prepare food items following established recipes and safety standards, ensuring quality and presentation meet company guidelines.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively to support food preparation tasks.
- Manage customer orders with precision, upselling menu items to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace by regularly cleaning counters, utensils, and food prep areas in compliance with sanitation standards.
- Handle cash register operations accurately, processing cash, credit card payments, and processing cash transactions with basic math skills.
- Support food safety practices by adhering to proper food handling procedures and sanitation protocols throughout your shift.
- Assist with bussing tables, cleaning dining areas, and ensuring the overall cleanliness of the restaurant environment.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver quick service in a fast-food or quick-service restaurant setting while managing multiple responsibilities efficiently.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or quick-service restaurants is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key!
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and excellent communication abilities.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately using basic math skills.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Experience operating kitchen equipment or working in a café or retail environment is advantageous.
- Demonstrated time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during busy periods.
- Retail math experience or grocery store background is beneficial for managing sales transactions efficiently.
