Job Overview
Our Hungry Honu team is currently hiring as a Barista/FOH Team Member! In this role, you’ll serve crafted coffee and beverages while efficiently handling sales transactions. Your friendly demeanor and attention to detail will ensure smooth operations at the cash register and a welcoming environment for all guests.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, smoothies, teas, and light food items with precision and care
- Operate POS systems Toast POS to process sales transactions accurately and efficiently
- Handle cashing out customers, giving correct change, and cash handling
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests warmly, answering questions, and offering product recommendations
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in food preparation areas, dining room, and adhering to proper food handling protocols
- Assist in food service tasks such as delivering dining room/lanai food and beverages
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without compromising quality
Requirements
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Previous barista experience or café experience is highly preferred
- Strong skills in math and cash handling to ensure accurate transactions
- Experience with POS systems; ability to learn new systems
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Knowledge of food safety practices, food handling, and basic food preparation
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong time management skills
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
