Fig. is looking for new team members to join our Front of House team.
Fig. is a sunny cafe located on the Omaha Riverfront, next to the Kiewit Luminarium Museum. We are the only place to eat or drink in Downtown Omaha with river views. The cafe is open daily 9am - 5pm with occasional evenings. We provide a unique and essential food experience to museum guests, Riverfront pedestrians, and anyone seeking great food and coffee with exceptional views.
Great customer service is our highest priority. We are in search of friendly, hard working, hospitality industry professionals to serve guests from the counter and manage our guests’ experience.
This is not just a barista position -- you will wear many hats in service from cashiering, to food running, pulling shots and steaming milk, and interacting with customers. You are the face of the cafe and the energy of the space.
Essential Functions:
- Friendly and personable interaction with coworkers and guests
- Assist guests in ordering food to meet their needs
- Accurately and efficiently make coffee drinks
- Pull espresso shots, steam milk, pour latte art
- Daily cleaning and maintenance of the espresso machine
- Keep station clean and organized
- Take orders, run food, clean tables, refill waters, restock
Qualifications:
- Passion and enthusiasm for good food and coffee
- Ability to deliver exceptional hospitality in a personal and professional manner
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work clean
- Ability to multitask with ease, work fast and efficiently, and remain calm under pressure
- Good communication skills with guests and coworkers
- Extreme reliability and sense of responsibility
- Must be available weekends
Compensation and Perks:
- $18-$20/hr
