Registered Dietitian
Location: Bolivar, TN
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday-Friday
The Columbus Organization is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Dietitian to join our team in Bolivar, Tennessee. This full-time opportunity offers a consistent Monday-Friday schedule and the chance to provide essential nutrition services within a Tennessee State facility.
Position Overview
Under general supervision, the Registered Dietitian is responsible for providing professional dietetic services, planning therapeutic diets and menus, and administering medical nutrition therapy to prevent and treat disease and other health conditions. This role serves as a consultant to medical and nursing staff while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to promote positive health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities

Assess nutritional status through review of medical diagnoses, nutrition history, laboratory results, anthropometric data, food intake records, and other relevant clinical information.

Develop, implement, and monitor individualized nutrition care plans based on each patient's medical and nutritional needs.

Provide medical nutrition therapy and nutrition counseling to patients and caregivers.

Calculate individualized nutritional requirements, including caloric, protein, fluid, vitamin, and mineral needs.

Evaluate therapeutic diets and menus to ensure nutritional adequacy and compliance with physician orders.

Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.

Monitor patient progress and recommend modifications to nutrition care plans as appropriate.

Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with facility policies and professional standards.
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Dietetics, Nutrition, Home Economics (Food), or a closely related field.

Three years of professional dietetics experience, including at least one year of experience as a Registered Dietitian.

Additional graduate coursework in Dietetics, Nutrition, Home Economics (Food), or a closely related field may be substituted for one year of the required non-specialized experience.

Current Registered Dietitian (RD) credential is required.
