PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The Clubhouse is a local community center that provides members with opportunities to build long-term relationships that, in turn, support them in obtaining employment, education and housing. The Clubhouse follows a work ordered day assisting to enhance member’s skills by participating in the Clubhouse units: culinary, clerical, business and social media, retail, and wellness. The Clubhouse Employment Specialist plays a foundational role in establishing community relationships, employment and outcome tracking.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Working closely with community providers to develop Transitional, Supported and Independent employment positions for Clubhouse Members.
· Obtaining, learning, training and covering members in Transitional employment positions.
· Providing support to members working in T.E., S.E. and independent positions.
· Tracking employment outcomes.
· Engage in the work-ordered day, and work alongside members performing the tasks of the above-mentioned units (culinary, clerical, retail etc.)
· May be required to travel for appropriate training opportunities.
· May be required to work occasional weekends and/or holidays.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
· Interest in working with adults with mental illness
· Knowledge of resources in Palm Beach County
· Must possess a positive attitude and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
· Must possess ability to work independently and flexibly
· Must possess, demonstrable written and verbal communication skills
· Must possess basic computer skills
· Minimum:
o Pass level 2 criminal background check.
o Valid Florida driver’s license
o Reliable Transportation
· Preferred:
o 6 months of experience working in a similar support role
o Bi-lingual
