General Anesthesiologist
Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health

Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health is excited to be seeking Full-time General Anesthesiologists to join their well-established Anesthesia department. The provider team currently consists of 38 physicians, over 70 CRNAs and 24 anesthesia techs covering over 50 anesthetizing locations daily. The group covers the Lancaster General Hospital, a Level 1 trauma center where all surgical modalities are covered except for transplant and complex pediatric cases; Women and Babies Hospital; and 2 outpatient surgery centers. Annual case volume is over 32,000 anesthetics a year with about 600 cardiac cases.
There is a subset of 13 anesthesiologists who cover cardiac cases but also are in the general OR pool for OR and call coverage. The team is primarily a medical direction model at 3:1, with some direct providers.
In-house call is shared equally amongst the team, with 2 physicians in-house daily; a separate cardiac call team and 2 back-up physicians at night.
There are some teaching opportunities of SRNA’s and primary care residents.

Possess or be able to obtain an unrestricted PA Medical License
