Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate, set up, and program CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce precision parts and components. Your expertise in machining processes, blueprint interpretation, and technical skills will ensure high-quality output that meets strict specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced equipment and contribute to innovative manufacturing projects in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and passionate about precision machining.
Duties
- Operate CNC lathes, milling machines, and other CNC equipment such as Fanuc-controlled machines to produce complex parts with accuracy and efficiency
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to ensure proper machining procedures
- Program CNC machines using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and manual CNC programming techniques to optimize production processes
- Set up tooling, fixtures, and workpieces accurately using precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM)
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment, troubleshoot issues promptly, and make necessary adjustments to maintain optimal performance
- Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances meet specifications
- Follow lean manufacturing principles to improve workflow efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance productivity across machining operations
Skills
- Proficiency in CNC programming for both lathe and milling machines using Fanuc controls or similar systems
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T standards, and mechanical drawings
- Experience with electrical discharge machining (EDM), plastics injection molding processes, welding, and assembly is a plus
- Skilled in SolidWorks and CAD software for part design review and modifications
- Mechanical knowledge of tooling selection, setup procedures, and machining techniques for various materials including plastics and metals
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators, and CMMs for quality control
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, tooling management, forklift operation, and safety protocols in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices to promote continuous improvement initiatives
Join our team if you’re ready to bring your machining expertise into a vibrant environment where innovation meets precision! We value energetic professionals who thrive on producing high-quality components while embracing safety standards and teamwork.
