Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of long-term care. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by delivering personalized care and ensuring their comfort and safety. This position requires a commitment to maintaining resident rights and dignity while fostering a supportive home community environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct support and personal care to residents, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
- Administer medications as prescribed, ensuring adherence to medication administration protocols.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences of residents.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the personal care home, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment.
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks to promote a comfortable living space for residents.
- Engage residents in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
- Uphold resident rights by respecting privacy, dignity, and individuality in all interactions.
Experience
- Previous experience in caregiving or long-term care settings is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with home community care systems is advantageous.
- Knowledge of resident rights and best practices in personal care is beneficial.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members.
