Responsibilities
- Oversee daily practice operations, including scheduling, patient flow, and administrative workflows to optimize efficiency.
- Manage fiscal responsibilities such as budgeting, billing, coding, and financial reporting to ensure profitability and compliance.
- Supervise medical administrative staff, including receptionists, medical assistants, and billing personnel, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations such as HIPAA, JCAHO standards, and health policy policies related to patient privacy and safety.
- Coordinate with clinical staff to support medical management activities, including electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems like Epic, eClinicalWorks) and medical records management.
- Implement and monitor office policies for medical administrative support, human resources functions, and clinic procedures.
- Utilize EMR systems to maintain accurate patient records and streamline clinical workflows.
- Oversee clinic supply inventory, equipment maintenance, and facility management to ensure a safe and efficient environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in medical office management or healthcare administration within a clinical setting.
- Strong supervisory skills with experience managing teams in healthcare environments.
- Knowledge of fiscal management including budgeting, financial analysis, and managed care processes.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems as proficiency in electronic health records management is essential.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations, health policy compliance, and medical terminology.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
- Prior experience in medical practice management is required.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clinical staff, patients, vendors, and regulatory bodies.
