Machine Operator – Food Manufacturing

Nexus Employment Solutions Plus, Inc. is hiring Machine Operators for a food manufacturing facility in Montgomery, IL.
Pay: $20.00–$22.00 per hour
Pay Frequency: Weekly
Shifts: 1st/ 2nd / 3rd
What You’ll Do:
- Coordinate production operations for a line of 4–10 team members
- Ensure product quality, proper methods, and efficient production costs
- Train line personnel to maintain high skill levels and output
- Review daily production against standards and implement improvements
- Complete daily recordkeeping: oxygen testing, seal testing, labels, code dating, case counts, pallet times, etc.
- Maintain machines and perform adjustments, maintenance, and calibration
- Troubleshoot and perform light maintenance on equipment (clipper tables, link cutters, vacuum pumps, label machines, case sealers, printers, etc.)
- Maintain a safe and clean work area and report food safety issues immediately
- Follow GMP, HACCP, and SQF guidelines
What We’re Looking For:
- Ability to work in temperatures of 40°F or less and lift up to 35 lbs for extended periods
- Flexible and able to work in multiple business areas (OW and CBC)
- Ability to stand for 8–10 hours in a high-speed packaging environment
- Good hand-eye coordination and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to bend, stoop, and squat as needed
- Must be able to work 40+ hours/week, including mandatory overtime and weekends
- Adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
