and automated calibration systems located in north-west Phoenix, Arizona
Job Title: CNC Operator
Schedule: 6am to 6pm Monday to Friday; 8hrs /day or possible extended shifts
Summary
Tovey Engineering Inc. is hiring a CNC Operator that produces machined parts to engineering
specifications The CNC Operator is responsible for maintaining part quality and machinery operation
while observing safety standards and keeping production / measurement records.
All work is performed in our modern north-west Phoenix, AZ air-conditioned facilities.
Responsibilities
- Sets-up mills and/or lathes by installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks, tools,
attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, stock pushers, indicating vices, etc.
- Loads feed mechanism by lifting material or metal stock into position.
- Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces; adhering to
international / shop standards.
- Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing,
knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions;
troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn
tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
- Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
- Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance.

Qualifications
- Experienced and Knowledgeable in the operation of CNC machinery
- Knowledgeable in basic computer skills needed to maintain correct data & records keeping
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs, bend, stretch, stand for extended periods of time
- US Citizen or valid work permit
