Child & Teen Therapist
Krippa Family Psychological & Wellness Services is looking for a therapist to join our Cary team. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with children and adolescents and wants to be part of a collaborative private practice.
This position includes providing individual therapy to children and teens as well as facilitating groups in our adolescent Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). Most available hours are afternoons and evenings.
We are open to both experienced clinicians and clinicians earlier in their careers. Experience working with children and adolescents is required. DBT training or experience is preferred, but we are willing to provide support to the right person.
What You'll Do
- Provide individual therapy to children and adolescents
- Facilitate groups in our adolescent IOP
- Work with parents and families as clinically appropriate
- Complete clinical documentation and treatment planning
- Collaborate with other members of the treatment team
- Participate in clinical consultation and ongoing professional development
Who We're Looking For
We are looking for a clinician who:
- Has experience working with children and teens
- Enjoys building relationships with young people and their families
- Is comfortable working with adolescents experiencing anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, school difficulties, and other mental health concerns
- Is comfortable facilitating groups or is interested in developing group therapy skills
- Has DBT experience or an interest in receiving additional DBT training
- Values individualized treatment rather than a one-size-fits-all approach
- Works well as part of a collaborative team
- Is dependable and able to maintain timely clinical documentation
- Is available primarily during afternoon and evening hours
Qualifications
Applicants must hold a North Carolina mental health license or associate/provisional license that permits them to provide psychotherapy.

About the Practice
Krippa Family Psychological & Wellness Services is a multidisciplinary private practice providing mental health services to children, adolescents, adults and families. Our adolescent services include individual and family therapy, DBT-focused intensive outpatient treatment, psychological evaluations, medication management and experiential approaches to treatment.
We are looking for someone who wants the opportunity to develop their clinical skills while becoming an important part of our team.
