Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Barback, where you’ll be the backbone of a lively and welcoming bar environment! As a vital support to bartenders and the entire service team, you’ll ensure the bar area remains clean, well-stocked, and organized, enabling smooth and efficient service. Duties
- Restock bar supplies including beverages, garnishes, glassware, and utensils to maintain seamless service flow
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as garnishing drinks and preparing simple snacks or accompaniments
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area by washing glassware, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste promptly
- Support bartenders by bussing tables, clearing empty glasses, and ensuring the bar is tidy at all times
- Help with inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management when stock needs replenishing
- Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures to ensure guest safety and compliance
- Provide friendly in-person customer service by assisting guests with their needs and answering questions about menu items
Skills
- Experience in food service, restaurant operations, or hospitality environments
- Knowledge of beverage preparation techniques and bar tools usage
- Strong cleaning skills with attention to sanitation standards
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling, order taking, and inventory counts
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and transactions
- Excellent communication skills and phone etiquette for guest interactions
- Knife skills, meat cutting, or catering experience are a plus for supporting kitchen operations
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Previous experience in guest services or host/hostess roles enhances your ability to connect with guests
