Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and friendly Hostess/Busser/Takeout team member to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for our guests. In this versatile role, you will be the first point of contact for guests, manage reservations, assist with table service, and handle takeout orders efficiently. Your enthusiasm and organizational skills will ensure a seamless dining experience from arrival to departure, fostering guest satisfaction and loyalty. Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, manage reservations using restaurant table management systems, and seat guests promptly.
- Maintain a clean and organized dining area, ensuring tables are reset quickly for new guests.
- Assist servers by bussing tables efficiently, clearing dishes, and replenishing supplies to support smooth service flow.
- Take takeout orders accurately via phone or online platforms, process payments using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, and package orders with attention to food safety standards.
- Answer incoming phone calls with professional phone etiquette, provide information about menu items and wait times, and handle guest inquiries with excellent communication skills.
- Support restaurant operations by managing guest relations, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring a positive experience for all visitors.
- Follow food safety protocols diligently to maintain a safe environment for staff and guests.
Skills
- Proven experience as a host/hostess or in food service roles with strong guest relations skills.
- Familiarity with restaurant reservation management systems and POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tables and takeout orders efficiently.
- Basic math skills for processing payments accurately.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Hospitality experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for providing outstanding guest service is essential.
