Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, ensuring high quality and presentation standards
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process sales accurately and efficiently
- Handle retail sales transactions with cash handling expertise, including processing cash, credit cards, and mobile payments
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area by regularly cleaning equipment, counters, and seating areas in compliance with food safety standards
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders promptly, and addressing inquiries or concerns with professionalism
- Assist in food handling and food preparation tasks to support overall café operations
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without compromising quality
- Open and close duties
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a barista or in food service is highly preferred; familiarity with coffee preparation is a plus
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; basic math skills for cash handling and transaction processing
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours
- Experience in retail sales transactions, beverage service, and food industry standards is advantageous
