We are seeking reliable and detail-oriented Janitorial Technicians to maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for cleaning offices, restrooms, common areas, warehouse spaces, and production support areas while following company sanitation procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and all safety regulations. Maintaining cleanliness is essential to supporting the production of high-quality nutraceutical products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, offices, locker rooms, hallways, and other common areas.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and disinfect floors and surfaces throughout the facility.
- Empty trash and recycling containers and dispose of waste according to company procedures.
- Restock restroom and break room supplies, including paper products, soap, and sanitizers.
- Clean windows, doors, walls, and other facility surfaces as assigned.
- Clean production support areas using approved cleaning agents and sanitation procedures.
- Follow GMP requirements to prevent contamination in manufacturing environments.
- Safely handle, dilute, and store cleaning chemicals according to Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and company policies.
- Report maintenance issues, damaged equipment, or safety hazards to management promptly.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, buffers, vacuums, and mops.
- Maintain cleaning logs and complete assigned sanitation documentation.
- Assist with special cleaning projects and facility support as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous janitorial, custodial, sanitation, or industrial cleaning experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Dependable with excellent attendance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and climb throughout the shift.
- Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to safely operate cleaning equipment.
- Ability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks throughout the workday.
- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves, safety glasses, masks, and other equipment as required.
Work Environment
- Manufacturing and warehouse environment supporting nutraceutical production.
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals, sanitation products, and cleaning equipment.
- Temperature-controlled and non-temperature-controlled work areas.
- Must comply with all company safety policies, GMP requirements, and sanitation standards.
- Overtime and weekend work may be required based on business needs.
