Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Form Setter / Finisher to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up concrete forms and finishing concrete surfaces with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will ensure that structures are built to exact specifications, providing a solid foundation for various construction projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from commercial renovations to new builds, contributing your skills to create durable and visually appealing structures.
Responsibilities
- Set up and assemble formwork using hand tools, power tools, and schematics to shape concrete structures accurately.
- Install rebar reinforcement within forms to ensure structural integrity according to blueprints and engineering plans.
- Operate concrete mixers and pumps to pour concrete into forms efficiently and safely.
- Finish concrete surfaces by smoothing, leveling, and applying finishing techniques such as troweling or stamping for aesthetic appeal.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to execute precise form setting and finishing tasks.
- Perform heavy lifting and maneuver heavy equipment or materials required for form installation and concrete finishing.
- Maintain a clean work environment, inspect completed forms for quality control, and make necessary adjustments during the process.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge of tools, equipment, and construction materials used in form setting and finish
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and concrete pumping systems.
- Knowledge of concrete forming techniques, concrete finishing methods, flooring installation, tile laying, and restoration projects.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during renovation or new construction projects.
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
