Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented NACE Coating Inspector III to oversee and ensure the quality and integrity of protective coatings on construction projects, particularly within civil infrastructure and pipeline sectors. Responsibilities
- Perform detailed coating inspections on pipelines, structures, and civil infrastructure to verify adherence to project specifications and industry standards such as NACE (National Association of Corrosion Engineers) guidelines.
- Conduct thorough construction site inspections, including visual assessments of coating application processes, surface preparation, and curing stages.
- Analyze technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and building codes to interpret project requirements accurately.
- Collect and document data during inspections, including photographs, measurement logs, and compliance reports for quality control purposes.
- Monitor construction activities to ensure regulatory compliance with safety standards, environmental policies, and contractual obligations.
- Collaborate with construction management teams to resolve coating issues promptly and ensure quality inspection procedures are followed consistently.
- Review contracts and specifications related to coating applications to confirm scope adherence and identify potential deviations or risks.
Skills
- Extensive construction experience with a focus on public infrastructure projects involving pipelines or large-scale civil works.
- Strong knowledge of building code analysis and construction regulatory compliance requirements.
- Proven experience in quality control, quality inspection, and construction site inspections within civil infrastructure environments.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and construction contracts accurately.
- Excellent analysis skills for evaluating coating applications, surface preparation techniques, and adherence to specifications.
- Familiarity with data collection methods relevant to construction inspection activities.
- Working knowledge of construction management practices and the ability to coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
Pay: $45.00 - $48.00 per hour
