Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assist in food preparation according to menu specifications and safety standards
- Cook and assemble dishes efficiently, maintaining consistency and presentation quality
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene in all aspects of food production
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment throughout shifts
- Support menu planning by preparing ingredients in advance for upcoming service periods
- Adhere to safety standards in production, including knife skills and slicing techniques to ensure precision and safety
- Assist with catering events or special meal preparations as needed to support overall food service operations
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant, culinary setting, or food industry role preferred; dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus
- Strong knife skills and slicing techniques with a focus on safety and efficiency
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Familiarity with meal preparation, food service, and catering operations is advantageous
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward serving guests and supporting colleagues
- Basic understanding of kitchen safety standards and sanitation protocols
