We are seeking an experienced Workers’ Compensation Intake Specialist to be the first point of contact for prospective clients.
Position Overview
The Intake Specialist plays a critical role in the client experience by handling incoming inquiries, screening potential Workers’ Compensation cases, and ensuring qualified leads are efficiently onboarded. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of New York Workers’ Compensation law, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a high-volume environment.
The ideal candidate for this position enjoys strong client contact and communication and some background in Workers' Compensation. You must enjoy working on the phone, as that is critical to your success and enjoyment at this firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer inbound calls, emails, and web inquiries from prospective clients
- Conduct detailed intake interviews and gather relevant case information
- Evaluate potential Workers’ Compensation claims based on NY guidelines
- Enter and manage client data in the firm’s case management system
- Schedule consultations with attorneys
- Follow up with leads and maintain consistent communication
- Ensure all intake documentation is accurate and complete
- Work closely with attorneys and staff to streamline onboarding
Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years experience in New York Workers’ Compensation intake
- Strong understanding of NY Workers’ Compensation procedures and terminology
- Experience with case management software
- Excellent phone presence and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and manage a high volume of inquiries
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a MUST
