Each Team Member will have slightly different tasks based on assigned location, program and the Clients’ support needs.
We provide employment supports, community inclusion, and day activities.
Our DSPs:
- Provide support to clients as written in their ISPs and Support Documents
- Assist clients with support in a variety of settings: providing choice, understanding, and learning new skills related to community integrated employment, recreational, socialization and skill building.
- Listen carefully and communicates respectfully and clearly with clients, co-workers, staff members, and the general community.
- Facilitate activities that provide clients with social capital and connections to the community.
- Bring their own skills, strengths, and interests to support clients’ activities.
- Always maintain confidentiality and privacy.
- Talk with clients respectfully and include them in decisions about their lives.
- Understand and follow support documents to maintain optimal health of individuals served.
- Administer medications accurately and reliably when needed.
- Ensure that clients are free from abuse, neglect, and exploitation.
- Support clients with positive behavioral techniques to avoid challenging situations.
Pay: $18.00 - $19.50 per hour
