American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Mother-Baby/Couplet Care/Post Partum position at a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital, requiring Epic proficiency and a valid NC or compact RN license.

Short-term acute care hospital setting within a 733-bed Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital

Mother-Baby/Couplet Care/Post Partum unit

Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)

Every other weekend required

Floating within scope to like units is required
-
No on-call requirement

Charting performed in Epic (experience required)

Active NC or compact RN license currently in hand — pending licenses not accepted

Current BLS and NRP certifications required

Minimum 2 years of Mother-Baby/Post Partum RN experience required

Epic EMR experience required
-
Must reside more than 50 miles from the main campus to be eligible for this position

SSN and date of birth required for consideration

13-week contract, night shift schedule

Royal blue and white scrubs required

Pre-start online modules are required (approximately 4–10 hours) and must be completed before the first day

Only one holiday off can be approved per contract

RTO is subject to manager discretion, with a general maximum of 4 days per contract

Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have been gone for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
-
Travelers on night shift may extend up to two contracts; after that, a 6-month gap is required before returning
-
First-time travelers may be considered depending on years of experience — manager approval required
