Responsibilities
- Deliver targeted tutoring sessions to elementary, middle school students across various subjects, including math, reading, and others
- Adapt curriculum materials tailored to individual student needs and learning styles
- Utilize learning technology tools to enhance lesson delivery and student engagement
- Manage student behavior effectively to create a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment
- Plan lessons that align with educational standards and incorporate best practices in special education when applicable
- Track student progress regularly and communicate updates to staff as appropriate
- Support students' needs during sessions and foster a positive attitude towards learning
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills to clearly explain concepts and motivate students
- Knowledge of classroom management techniques
- Familiarity with learning technology platforms and tools used in modern teaching environments
- Demonstrated ability to adapt instructional strategies for diverse learners, including those with special education needs
- Prior classroom experience with elementary or middle school students is highly desirable
- Passion for education, patience, enthusiasm, and the ability to build rapport with young learners
