Overview
Join our dynamic prepress team as a Pre Press Operator Assistant and play a vital role in preparing high-quality print materials for production. As a key support member in our manufacturing process, you'll assist with the setup, calibration, and quality control of various printing presses and prepress equipment, ensuring every project meets our high standards of excellence.
Responsibilities
- Support the prepress team by preparing digital files for printing, including color management and layout adjustments using graphic design software such as Adobe Acrobat.
- Assist with machine operation and maintenance of printing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Interpret production documents accurately to facilitate smooth workflow and precise printing outcomes.
- Help with mechanical adjustments and troubleshooting on industrial equipment to maintain consistent print quality.
- Conduct quality control checks throughout the printing process, verifying color accuracy, registration, and overall print fidelity.
- Assist with cutting, paper binding, and finishing processes to prepare printed materials for delivery or further processing.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety standards in manufacturing settings.
Experience
- Previous experience or training in prepress operations or print production is preferred but not required; a strong interest in graphic design or printing technology is a plus.
- Familiarity with graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign is highly desirable.
- Basic mechanical knowledge of industrial printing equipment and machine operation will be advantageous.
- Knowledge of color management principles and print advertising standards helps ensure high-quality output.
- Ability to interpret technical documents related to layout design, typography, and production workflows is essential.
- Strong attention to detail combined with excellent problem-solving skills will support your success in this role.
