Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Railing Installer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing various types of railings, including aluminum, steel and glass ensuring safety, durability, and aesthetic appeal. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to accurately install railings according to specifications.
- Measure, cut, fabricate, and assemble railing components utilizing hand tools and power tools with precision.
- Install railings on stairs, balconies, decks, walkways, and other structures while ensuring compliance with safety standards and building codes.
- Coordinate with project managers and other trades such as carpentry, masonry, and plumbing to ensure seamless integration of railing systems.
- Operate heavy equipment as needed for site preparation or material handling.
- Conduct inspections during installation to verify alignment, stability, and quality of work; make adjustments as necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area; adhere to safety protocols at all times during construction activities.
- Utilize construction management software like Bluebeam for documentation and project tracking when required.
Experience
- Proven construction site experience with a focus on railing installation or related trades such as carpentry or metal fabrication.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings essential for precise installation.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools (e.g., drills, saws), power tools (e.g., grinders, drills), and heavy equipment operation.
- Knowledge of construction estimating and inspection processes is a plus.
- Skills in working with various materials including metal (welding), glass (installation), wood (trim carpentry), concrete forming/finishing, stucco, masonry, roofing, flooring installation, tile laying, plastering, caulking, fixture installation, restoration work, framing carpentry, door hanging, painting or remodeling projects are highly valued.
- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately; experience with Bluebeam software is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to construction sites involving heavy equipment and power tools.
Pay: $27.37 - $40.00 per hour
